The 12 Metre Special Event Pontoons are road transportable, which has facilitated their usage at various locations around Sydney, in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast. They can readily be mobilized to anywhere in Australia, and travel 3 at a time on a standard semi-trailer or 4 at a time on a low-loader.

Their modular design enables them to be joined together end-to-end, end-to-side, and side-to-side, to produce a variety of configurations. Connection of units is facilitated by flexible towball and socket couplings, which are bolted in place where required. These create a 350mm gap which is spanned by a bridging plate. The event pontoons can be used as a stand alone facility, and they can also be linked to other marine structures such as permanent marinas, jetties, and barges.

Dimensions: 12.0m long x 3.3m wide x 780mm high. The length extends to 12.35m with end-to-end connections. 
Weight: 3.5 to 4 tonnes.
Floatation load rating: 3kPa (+)
Draft, without load: approx 210mm.
Freeboard, without load: approx 570mm.
Construction: Hardwood deck and timber frame, supported by 8 robust longitudinal polyethylene floatation tubes. PVC encapsulated polystyrene is packed between the floatation tubes and the timber deck. These materials produce superior integral strength and stability, combined with a useful capacity to flex.
Mooring attachments: include 5 cleat plates along each side (which can be removed if necessary), and bi-directional anchoring points on the pontoon ends near each corner.
Handrails: are facilitated by 5 x 1m high stanchions, which can be fitted along each side, if required.
